Kitty's Kennel was established in 1999. George and I had a Saint Bernard named Sissy. She was the love of our lives. She went everywhere with us and was an excellent watch dog. On a cold February evening someone intentionally ran over her and broke her back. We rushed her to our Veteranarian, but there was nothing he could do. We had to put her to sleep. We had lost a good and loyal friend. I wanted to get another dog but was having a hard time deciding what breed I wanted to get. I wasn't ready to replace Sissy with another Saint. A friend of mine who also has a small kennel suggested that I start a kennel. So in May of 1999 I got my first adult dogs and have not been lonely for the companionship of a pet since.
Kitty's Kennel is a small, family operated kennel located in the beautiful hills and farm country in northeast Iowa. We specialize in raising quality puppies for you to love for years to come. We breed for health and confirmation with extra emphasis on temperament. We have several breeds to choose from throughout the year. If you are looking for a beautiful, loving family member, you have come to the right place. Our puppies come grandkid tested and grandmother approved. They are raised in my home and are socialized with children, adults, dogs, other puppies, our tomcat, Tommy, and our house cat, Laney and her kittens.
We offer a one year health guarantee against genetic and congenital defects that are life threatening. Each puppy will be current on all vaccinations and deworming appropriate for its age. Our puppies are checked by our Veterinarian and will be given a health certificate when needed.
We offer shipping with Delta Airline to most major cities in the US and Canada when weather permits. The puppies are put on the plane early in the morning and usually arrive in the early afternoon depending on how far they have to travel. The puppies have food and water in their travel kennel. Our puppies have always arrived to their new homes safe and sound, and in good spirits.
Kitty's Kennel is affiliated with the following registries: AKC, APRI and ACHC. We are also licensed with USDA and STATE OF IOWA.
Your questions are important to us. We will be here to answer any that you may have before and after you receive one of our fur babies. We enjoy keeping in contact with the new friends we have made through the adoption of our puppies. We enjoy watching our puppies grow through the shared family pictures we receive.
